View Live Webcams Covering the Israeli Excavations Near Masjid Al-Aqsa
JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel on Thursday began operating live Internet cameras at a construction project next to a hotly disputed Jerusalem holy site (the third holiest site in Islam–the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its compound), and agreed to a Turkish request to inspect the work, responding to intense criticism from the Muslim world.

Note from Rafik Beekun: It is sad to note how the highly debatable decision to excavate next to one of the most holiest site in Islam is being justified ex-post by the Israeli Antiquities Authority. Sometimes, leaders or organizations create a paper trail to rationalize a decision that has already been made.
